What types of medications do you dispense?

Ultramed pharmacy dispenses all types of medication, including compounded medications. 

Do you offer compliance packaging?

Yes. Also known as blister packaging, compliance packs make it easy to remember when and how to take all of your medication.

Do you offer MedsCheck?

Yes, our pharmacists provide complimentary medication reviews, also known as MedsChecks. The pharmacist reviews your lifestyle, medication and supplement regimens, optimizing each. Your treatment goals are discussed and resources are provided to you for the betterment of your health.

Are flu-shots available at Ultramed?

Yes, the pharmacy participates in the flu vaccine administration every year.

I need a compounded prescription made.

Ultramed pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy, and is classified as a level B facility. We can meet many of your compounding needs, such as tablet-to-liquid conversions and topical pain creams. Please call the pharmacy if you have further questions.

Do you offer minor ailments prescribing? Is there a cost?

Yes, minor ailments prescribing is offered by the pharmacy team. There is no cost to patients for the consult, it is covered by OHIP.

Which minor ailments can a pharmacist prescribe for?
  • Hay fever (allergic rhinitis)

  • Oral thrush (candida stomatitis)

  • Pink eye (conjunctivitis; bacterial, allergic and viral)

  • Dermatitis (atopic, eczema, allergic and contact

  • Menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea)

  • Acid reflux (gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD))

  • Hemorrhoids

  • Cold sores (herpes labialis)

  • Impetigo

  • Insect bites and hives

  • Tick bites (post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent Lyme disease)

  • Sprains and strains (musculoskeletal)

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Do I need to physically come to the pharmacy for a minor ailment consultation?

Not necessarily. Consultations can be done over the phone. However, if deemed necessary by professional judgement, the pharmacist may ask you to come in person for your particular ailment.

Do you offer free prescription delivery?

Yes! Free prescription delivery is available across the GTA for all of our customers.
